Modeled after best-in-class security agencies in other Jewish Diaspora communities, the JSN is working to transform our collective security through four core priorities:

Monitoring our Threat Environment

The JSN's team proactively gathers and analyzes open-source information, to identify emerging threats and trends impacting community safety. Through close relationships with police and Jewish security partners, key information is shared for appropriate action by authorities.

Centralized Command-and-Control

The JSN's Security Operations Centre is being developed to enable rapid, community-wide security coordination. In addition to receiving incident reports from the public, it will be increasingly connected to the security systems of Jewish institutions across the GTA, allowing for centralized monitoring and management of threats.

Training and Empowering Volunteers

The JSN leads security training programs that empower community volunteers with the skills to serve as an added layer of security awareness, preparedness, and prevention at Jewish institutions across our community.

Hardening Security Infrastructure

Jewish institutions that adopt the JSN's standards of readiness will be eligible to receive UJA funding to upgrade their physical security infrastructure and technology, under the expert guidance of the JSN team.
